Thank you all for being a valued members of Maya Whole Health community. If you are a recipient of our medical services, please take note of the following important changes to our billing policies that may have an impact on you in the future.

As of July 1st, 2016, the following changes will go into effect:

1) "No Medical Necessity" Denials
In any instance in which a 3rd party payer refuses payment for any service you have received at Maya Whole Health Studio by claiming that "medical necessity" was not adequately established, you will be responsible for payment of the charges for those services. We will provide a superbill for you upon payment of the charges, and you may be able to appeal and seek reimbursement from your healthcare provider. You are responsible to confirm that the services you are receiving at Maya Whole Health Studio are covered under your plan.

2) United Health Network
We will no longer be providing billing services to United Health Care plans.  We previously provided out-of-network billing, but the wait times for payment and the documentation requirements have created an undue financial burden.

While we regret any inconvenience or hardship these updated policies might present, it is necessary to maintain the high quality of healthcare services that you have come to expect at Maya Whole Health Studio. We apologize again for any inconvenience this may cause.
