"Practice makes great"
The quote above was uttered by Tiffany’s daughter before she had learned the “correct” version, though Tiffany considers this to be far more accurate and reminds her to give up any need to be perfect. Tiffany cultivates her sense of belonging and home surrounded by her husband, kids, and their dog. With hiking shoes at the ready, Tiffany knows life’s terrain is sometimes bumpy and sleepless, but for the most part, harmonious; the message to enjoy the journey is one she’s learned from her teachers and passes to her students.
A self proclaimed math geek since she was a kid, today’s Tiffany would advise her younger self to ‘Hang in there, it will be ok”. Adulthood and parenting teach her the value of nature, the balance in healthy relationships, and lend her the innovation to find creativity in small things, like making sushi from Thanksgiving leftovers.
Tiffany has been practicing yoga since 2000 and teaching since 2008. She first trained through YogaWorks at The Yoga Tree, followed by training from Robin Rothenburg in aspects of therapeutic application of yoga, then in prenatal yoga with Anne Phyfe Palmer at 8 Limbs Yoga and a second YogaWorks training at The Yoga Tree in 2010-2011. A student and teacher of Hatha, prenatal and Vinyasa yoga, Tiffany uses her love of anatomy and kinesiology to create a safe and strengthening class. While physical alignment is often her emphasis, as Tiffany has transitioned from a full time software/systems engineer to a full time mom, she has learned the importance of incorporating techniques that work the mind and breath. Now, she incorporates Pranayama, meditation and real-life application of yoga philosophy in her asana classes.
