Beth Hooper
Massage | LMP
Deep Tissue | Pregnancy | Bamboo Fusion
Beth began her career over 12 years ago, graduating from Clover Park Technical College with a degree in Massage Studies. She has worked in various types of spas, wellness centers and chiropractic offices before coming to Maya, where she specializes in deep tissue, pregnancy, and bamboo fusion massage.
Beth finds pregnancy massage to be most rewarding, reflecting back on over 40 mothers and babies she’s helped get their start. Although there can be challenges as in the re-telling of the story of the overdue mom who came close to labor while on her table. Fortunately, mom, and Beth, made it through before baby made an appearance.
Sentimental at heart, the things Beth cherishes come from love for family and the treasures they hold. Old family photographs that accompany her travels, her Grandfather’s monogrammed handkerchief, and her wedding band are all reminders of her deep roots, deep bonds. Fiercely loyal, as long as her husband and animal companions are near, she is home.
When she’s not melting away worries and discomfort, you might find Beth traversing the seas on a cruise. Throw her a party, sure, but don’t think about bringing balloons, she’s not a fan. Better yet, ask her to share a story and she’ll do it with wit and style.
Beth’s plans for her future include expanding her education into fertility massage, helping others to plan their futures. And if she had a superpower, it would be to speak any language at will, communicating even more effectively. But despite a power like that, the words of wisdom she has for her younger self, when the world was still stretched out in front of her, are short and sweet: Dude, chill. It's gonna be alright.
