Lynn was introduced to yoga in 2000 and was initially drawn to the asana practice as the strength and flexibility was complimentary to her background in running. With continued exploration, curiosity, and some great teachers, her yoga practice expanded beyond asana, both on and off the mat. In 2015, Lynn completed a 200 hour teacher training which could be classified as hatha-based with a strong focus on alignment and ahimsa/moving safely through yoga poses and sequences.
Lynn values creating a welcoming space and accessible practice for students to feel both nurtured and challenged by the practice. With a background in social work, Lynn interacts with people at profound junctions in their lives and is constantly reminded that how you show up in any given situation must first be grounded in compassion. Coming from a place of compassion toward self and others is what Lynn hopes to channel on the mat. Outside work and yoga, Lynn enjoys staying active and getting outside with her husband and two pups.
